France showed their attacking power and depth with a 3-1 victory over Colombia in their final match before coach Didier Deschamps announced his World Cup squad.
Desire Douai scored twice and regular captain Kylian Mbappé was limited to a second-half substitute as a much-changed Les Bleus won for the second time in the United States on Sunday.

Coach Didier Deschamps has made all the changes to his starting lineup for the game at the National Football League’s Washington Commanders’ home base in Landover, Maryland, his last outing before naming his World Cup squad in May.
France took the lead in the 30th minute when Paris Saint-Germain forward Douai fired a low shot from the edge of the box, but Crystal Palace defender Daniel Muñoz misdirected it.
Inter Milan striker Markus Thuram doubled France’s advantage just before half-time when he headed in a cross from Monaco playmaker Magnes Akurios.

In the 56th minute, Thuram teed up Douai for his second goal of the game, and just before Mbappe was brought on, Hamington Campas’ shot hit the post to give Colombia a point.
