you haven’t lost it. Your neck may look older than your face. We always focus our most powerful products and devices on our faces to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles, but what about our necks? Do you really need a separate product just for your neckline and décolletage?
We enlisted Beverly Hills-based cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Mariana Vergara to answer all your décolletage-related skin care questions. She is beloved by celebrity clients for her work in the fields of minimally invasive rejuvenation, laser technology, and facial aesthetics.
“The neck often shows early signs of aging because it has thinner skin, fewer sebaceous glands, and less structural support. The neck produces less collagen, making it more susceptible to dehydration and a crepey texture over time,” Dr. Vergara told E! news.
Sure, it might be beneficial to buy a neck cream if you’re particularly concerned about the appearance of your neck line or collarbone, but Dr. Vergara reassured us that it’s not really necessary.
“I don’t think most people need a separate cream on their neck. You can usually use the same cream on your neck and décolleté that you use on your face,” she said. “The key is to be consistent and always take care of your neck like you would your face. Don’t neglect your neck and chest with your morning and night skin care.”
