Opener Tanjid Hasan scored an unbeaten 67 off 42 balls and forged a partnership of 82 for the second wicket with Najmul Hossain Shanto, who scored 27, for the win.
While Saif Hassan suffered four losses in the early stages, Litton Das remained undefeated with three wins along with Tanjid.
Earlier, Nahid laid the foundation for victory against Bangladesh as he destroyed Pakistan with an outstanding spell of seven overs, their lowest ODI total, surpassing their previous 161 in the 1999 World Cup.
Nahid, 23, smashed Pakistan’s top order and became the first Bangladeshi bowler to dismiss an opponent’s top five batsmen in an ODI innings.
With Pakistan slumping to 69 wins and 5 losses, coach Nahid omitted Sahibzada Farhan (27), Shamil Hussain (4), Maaz Sadaqat (18), Mohammad Rizwan (10) and Salman Agha (5).
He was well supported by captain Mehdi Hasan Miraz and led with 3-29 on off-spin.
Senior quicks Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman took one wicket each.
No. 8 Faheem Ashraf put up some resistance in the 37th over but was eventually bowled out by Mustafizur with Pakistan bowled out in 30.4 overs.
The performance marked a milestone in Nahid’s young ODI career since his debut in 2024.
He took just five wickets in his first five matches before achieving his five-wicket haul in his sixth appearance.
Nahid became the second Bangladeshi bowler to take five wickets against Pakistan in an ODI after Mustafizur’s 5-75 in the 2019 World Cup.
