Rebecca Yaros, author of “Forth Wing,” previews “amazing” TV drama adaptation of “Onyx Storm” now in theaters
Sarah J. Maas has put the ACOTAR show back on the shelf.
The best-selling author revealed that the television adaptation of her A Court of Thorns series has been put on hold due to creative differences, and her priority is now to finish the remaining books in the series.
“Right now, my focus is on books,” Sarah told host Alex Cooper during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on March 4. “It’s been a while since you guys did anything, so I’m focused on that.”
But that doesn’t mean she’s not thinking about TV projects at all. In fact, the Crescent City author recently revealed that she was able to buy back the rights to all of her novels, giving her more control when she was ready to turn her attention to ACOTAR’s film adaptation.
“The TV movie adaptation is like another side of the world that I created, and it’s something that I want to be in charge of and that I want to understand,” Sarah explained. “I want to learn everything I can. I’m type A, and I’m a bit of a control freak. I want to know everything about how it’s made. Not because of the controls, but because I love movies. I love television.”
