And for “The Office” stars Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Ellie Kemper and Angela Kinsey, it was quite the reunion. They came together not only to present the Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series award presented to The Studio, but also to reflect on their time together on the long-running series.
“We are the women who survived a 22-episode season,” Mindy, 46, joked from the Shrine Auditorium stage during the March 1 ceremony.
Angela, 54, said there was “no short order,” while Ellie, 45, explained that with such a long filming schedule, “I didn’t plan the season around the pregnancy.”
“You gave birth on camera and named your baby after Grip,” Mindy laughed. To which Jenna, 51, replied: “Then you came back the next week with another episode.”
And, as Angela pointed out, the filming schedule is unrelenting, but 22 episodes means “I’ll be working from September to May,” which is a dream shoot for many actors.
