Teen Mom’s Kailyn Lowry and Elijah Scott break up after almost a year of engagement
Kailyn Lowry, a mother of seven, has defended her actions.
The Teen Mom 2 alum addressed the “presumption” of prioritizing her relationship over her children after she moved her boyfriend Isaac “Ike” Knighton, of less than a year, into her parents’ home.
“On the contrary, I think I thought a lot about what kind of person he was before I welcomed him into the rest of my children’s lives,” Kailyn said in a Jan. 18 Patreon video, according to multiple news outlets. “I didn’t meet him on Tinder. I’m not saying Tinder is dangerous, but I didn’t just meet him for the first time and introduce myself to my kids.”
After Kailyn split from Elijah Scott last summer, she started dating Ike, whom she had known “since high school.” She and Illya have a 3-year-old son, Rio, and 2-year-old twins, Vers and Valley.
“I don’t think we expected it to be a full-fledged relationship,” Kailyn continued of Ike, “but after we hung out together for the first time, we both realized what it was.”
And because she has “been in a toxic environment in the past,” the 33-year-old felt her direct connection to Ike was different.
