Bank PNC Financial’s quarterly results will be released on Friday. They will be featured on “Squawk Box” along with Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen. The stock is down 2.5% from last week’s high. The stock price has increased about 18% in the past three months. You can see the reaction of numbers and stock prices. Goldman Sachs is up about 4% week-to-date in a week of reports from major banks. Shares rose 4.6% on Thursday after the bank released its quarterly results. JPMorgan is down 6% this week. The stock is down 8.3% from last week’s high. Citigroup fell 3.2% this week. The stock price has fallen 5.4% from last week’s high. Bank of America is down about 6% this week. The stock is down 8.6% from last week’s high. Morgan Stanley hit new highs during trading. Shares soared nearly 6% after Thursday’s earnings report. PNC 3M Mountain PNC Financial’s Friday Local Banks from the Past 3 Months “Squawk Box” also hears from M&T Bank and Regions Financial. Regions Financial, based in Birmingham, Alabama, has gained 15.3% over the past three months. The stock is down 2.5% from last week’s high. M&T Bank in Buffalo, New York, has gained 15% in the past three months. It also hit a new high last week and is 1.3% away from reaching that record. S&P Financials fell 2.45% this week, the biggest decline among the 11 sectors. However, the State Street SPDR S&P Regional Bank ETF (KRE) is up 1.13% so far this week. Chips Continue your look at chips Friday morning with Frank Holland on “Worldwide Exchange,” starting at 5 a.m. on the East Coast. Jim Cramer of “Mad Money” built an entire tree of knowledge for investors on Thursday night’s big show. The base of the tree is Taiwan Semi and its solid quarterly report. After hitting a new high, the stock price fell slightly. The stock closed 4.4% higher and is up 12% so far in January. “Taiwan Cicada completely crushed the skeptics,” said Kramer. “The Taiwan Cicada report changed the whole picture. That’s what made the situation so strong for those of us who like technology in this market.” He also said, “A quick glance at Taiwan Semi’s report shows that it was worth buying Apple because expensive phones were noted as having a major strength.” Apple stock was underperforming on Thursday, falling 0.7%. The stock has fallen 10.5% from its December 3 high. AMD rose about 2% on Thursday. The stock has risen 12% so far this week, hitting a new all-time high. Jabiru rose nearly 5% this session. It’s up about 12% week-to-date. AMD 5D Mountain AMD Shared in the Last 5 Sessions Cars and Pickup Trucks CNBC TV’s Phil LeBeau will take a closer look at this area on Friday, as members of the Trump administration increasingly visit auto factories as the president looks to make new cars and trucks cheaper. Ford stock is down 5% from last week’s high. The stock price has increased 17.5% in the past three months. General Motors is down 5% from last week’s high. The stock price has increased about 40% in three months. Stellantis stock is down 37% from its February 2025 high. Stock prices are flat for the first time in three months. Tesla is up 12% from its December 22 high. The stock price was flat in three months, but rose 41% in six months. Toyota Motor Corporation hit a record high on Thursday. The stock is up 8.5% so far in January. Honda is down 11% from its September 8th high. The stock rose 4.4% in one week and 1% in three months. Metaplatform stock is down 22% from its August 15 high. The meta is down about 5% so far this week. On Friday, CNBC’s Julia Boorstin, who covers the stock, will report on the company’s spending on artificial intelligence and its AI strategy. She ties it all back to stocks and their impact on stocks, which are up more than 350% in the past three years.
