Family of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and wife Christina speak out about plane crash
Multiple families are experiencing unspeakable tragedies.
Families are mourning the death of race car driver Greg Biffle, his wife Christina Gross, their two children and three other passengers in a North Carolina plane crash.
“We are devastated by the loss of our loved one,” said a joint statement from the families released by NASCAR on Dec. 18. “The entire family is heartbroken beyond words by this tragedy.”
Relatives of the couple went on to pay tribute to Greg and Christina, a real estate agent and travel agent, as “devoted parents and active philanthropists,” saying their lives revolved around their son Ryder, 5, and Greg’s daughter Emma, 14, who both died in the Dec. 18 crash at Statesville Regional Airport.
Emma, 55, who he shares with ex-wife Nicole Landers, is remembered as a “wonderful human being with a kind heart who was loved by many”, while his family said Ryder was “an active, curious and endlessly fun child”.
