When Mauricio made his debut on Dancing with the Stars, Kyle was in the ballroom to support him and partner Emma Slater as they performed their jive.
And Kyle took his support a step further, detailing how to vote for Mauricio on his Instagram Story.
After the DWTS premiere, Mauricio provided an update on his marriage.
“We were just working on our own things, very quietly internally in a way,” he explained on the Sept. 28 episode of the agency’s Red Mike podcast. “So, certainly, we’re not separated. We’re not divorced at this point. We’re not like that. We’re still working on our marriage.”
The 53-year-old said he is grateful to have been able to spend nearly 30 years without ever encountering any problems in his marriage.
“It’s been a great 26 years and a tough year,” he said. “Kyle and I are blessed. In fact, we haven’t had a bad year in 26 years. And I know that most marriages have bad months, bad weeks, and bad years.”
Mauricio then addressed rumors that he and Kyle staged their separation to gain public attention.
“I’m not going to ruin my life to put plants in the news so people can have more entertainment,” he said, insisting he’s “not that smart or that sneaky.”
