And Taylor’s best karma in 2025 wasn’t just the realization of her wildest dreams. The Elas Tour not only enabled her to purchase the Masters, but also led her to another monumental moment. She got engaged to Travis Kelsey in August, two years after their love story began when she publicly announced her disappointment at not being able to meet Taylor at her 2023 Kansas City tour stop.
“Being engaged to the love of my life and getting all my music back,” she went on to tell host Stephen Colbert, “those were two things that just never happened. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, it’s only a matter of time.'” Both of those things may never have happened in my life. And I’m so grateful that both of those things happened. ”
What’s more, the Elas tour was not only life-changing for Taylor, but also huge for her crew (who netted $197 million in bonus checks) and her fans. From friendship bracelets to “post-concert amnesia” and “joy blackouts” that Taylor said she heard, the tour had an impact even she didn’t expect.
“We were seeing crazy demand for touring, and we just packed it in because we thought it was just pent-up demand, even though we’ve put out about five albums and haven’t been able to tour on any of them,” Taylor explained. “I never thought something like this would happen until I heard people’s experiences at the show.”
