Patrick was born in 1993 and is Arnold and Maria’s eldest son. While it’s great that both of his parents are in the business, he also credits his brother-in-law Chris for helping him get a piece of the plum.
“I remember Chris saying, ‘I know there’s a young role for Donnie Mitchell, and you’re going to be the youngest in the platoon,'” Patrick told Jimmy Kimmel, who booked him to appear in the 2022 Amazon Prime Video series The Terminal List. “But if you want to take this role, you need to get into the character and really understand it. You need to put on 20 pounds and start training tactically so you know how to move and your body language and all that stuff.”
He added that having the opportunity to train with real Navy SEALs was “a dream come true.” And more pinch-me moments followed, with the actor playing Saxon Ratliff in The White Lotus and Tim Tebow on FX’s American Sports Story.
But even with all his connections, Patrick makes it clear that he’s trying hard.
“I know some people will say I only got this role because of who my father is,” Patrick told The Sunday Times in February 2025 about his role in The White Lotus. “They don’t see that I took acting classes for 10 years, that I put on a play every week at school, that I worked on a role for hours on end, and that I failed at hundreds of auditions.”
Soon, he will take on a new role as a husband. He proposed modeling Abby Champion in December 2023.
