Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer are merging their talents to form the ultimate creative partnership.
The Twilight star, who is making her feature directorial debut with Lidia Yuknavitch’s new biopic The Chronology of Water, gave rare insight into how her wife, whom she married in Los Angeles in April, has influenced her own work ethic.
“She’s the perfect writer,” she told E! News’ exclusive interview with Will Malfuzzi. “I only write because I have to. I find it miserable. I like to shoot.”
As a result, the 35-year-old has learned to rely on Dylan, who is credited as a producer on the film, to enhance her professional output.
“We’re very, very different and have a very united energy,” Kristen explained. “I know it sounds totally arrogant, but I think we’re unstoppable in a way. She’s contemplative and very, very macro. I’m very micro. It works.”
And the film (now in limited release ahead of a nationwide theatrical release on January 9th) isn’t the only project Kristen and Dylan, 38, are working on. They also collaborated on the upcoming film The Wrong Girls, which is sure to take the filmmaking dynamic to new heights.
