Joan Vasos wants everyone to know she’s still alive.
There were rumors online that the Golden Bachelorette died in an accident, but the rumors have been cleared up.
“First of all, I didn’t die,” Joanne quipped to host Ashley Iaconetti on the Dec. 8 episode of her Almost Famous podcast. “There were rumors that I had a tragic accident. That’s why I didn’t die.”
The 62-year-old also addressed rumormongers’ concerns about the relationship status of her and fiancé Chock Chapple, who got engaged at the end of The Bachelorette season in November 2024.
“I’m not breaking up with Chock either,” Jaune clarified. “So, I’m alive and still with Chock. We’re not broken up.”
She also addressed the root cause of the breakup rumors, which stemmed from a Thanksgiving-themed thank you post she shared on Instagram that did not directly mention Chock.
“I talked about Thanksgiving because I was like, ‘I’m grateful for my family and friends and all that,'” she added. “I consider him family. That’s why I didn’t mention Chock personally. He’s my family. And a lot of terrible things were said to me. People are like, ‘They broke up.’
