Let’s recall how Ryan Cabrera met Alexa Bliss. And as it turns out, their meeting in 2020 was a misunderstanding.
“We actually met because there were rumors that we were dating,” Alexa explained on The Bellas Podcast that year. “He liked some of my tweets, so a fan saw that and created an Instagram saying we were dating and tagged everyone at the company.”
But in reality, the athlete and the singer had not yet met.
“Ryan’s best friend Miz called him and said, ‘Hey, are you dating Alexa Bliss?’ And he said, ‘What’s Alexa Bliss?’ I don’t know what that means,” she recalled. “And he said, ‘Oh, that’s the girl I work with.’ So we started chatting like that and just became friends.”
Soon after, Ryan invited Alexa to a concert in Orlando. And while she went to the show, she said she declined dinner and drinks afterward.
“We became great friends because he was so patient and persistent,” she added. “And we literally ended up having the most amazing relationship because he’s so sweet and wonderful. He literally broke his hips for my happiness.”
Alexa and Ryan married in April 2022 and welcomed their daughter, Hendrix, at the end of the following year.
