“I think I’m very lucky that[my fans]care enough about me to know what I do every day. But I think sometimes it’s hard for the public to understand that there’s no line between a person’s life and their personal life,” she told Us Weekly in 2018. “I’m a very private person. I really enjoy having the opportunity to share with them what I’m comfortable with, and they listen to me and support me.”
And in this season of her life, she’s leaning even more into her off-camera presence.
“What we do is very unpredictable, and his job is on a very demanding schedule,” she told Variety in October, explaining her similarly demanding career. “So it’s actually a blessing. I try to arrange my time so I can be where he is.”
Since Josh is so busy on the field, “during this time, I hunker down, slow down, support him, and just live life,” she continued. “Once the offseason starts, it’s go-time for me.”
And she learned to appreciate this kind of time.
“I’ve never experienced this part of my life outside of work,” she admitted. “I have a much better understanding of what it means to slow down and share that with someone.”
