Miss Universe 2025 finalist Olivia Yasse stands by her principles.
That’s why she handed back her title just days after the Miss Universe 4th runner-up was crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceania on November 21st.
On November 21, Olivia wrote on her Instagram: “As a representative of Ivory Coast at the 2025 Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, I saw firsthand that great things can be achieved despite adversity. But to continue on this path, I must stay true to my values: respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity: the strongest pillars that guide me.”
The 27-year-old added: “With deep gratitude and deep respect, I hereby announce my resignation from the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania and from future membership on the Miss Universe Committee.”
Eh! News has reached out to the Miss Universe Organization for comment, but has not received a response.
Olivia, who placed fifth in the 2025 Miss Universe pageant behind Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines, Stephanie Abasari of Venezuela, Praveena Singh of Thailand and winner Fatima Bosch of Mexico, said she has served with dedication and determination throughout her journey as an ambassador and beauty queen.
