Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ children may not see Santa this year.
The couple, who are parents to Michael, 28, Laura, 24, and Joaquin, 22, recently debated whether to give their three children Christmas presents this upcoming holiday season.
“The kids are older,” Mark said on the Nov. 20 episode of Living with Kelly and Mark. “They get nothing.”
But Kelly, 55, was surprised when she was admitted to the hospital and asked her husband, “Aren’t we getting anything?”
In response, the Riverdale alum initially spoke out alongside his wife of 29 years.
“They’re getting paid,” Mark added. “Give them a check or something and say, ‘Merry Christmas!'”
But after thinking about it for a moment, Kelly’s reservations seemed to have stopped the 54-year-old in his tracks.
“I don’t know. That sounds bad,” he told Kelly. “That’s really bad.”
This isn’t the first time the TV host couple has spoken candidly about their family on camera. Five months after their adult children officially left home, empty nesters are opening up about how they’re making use of their newly vacated dens.
