Kim Kardashian pays tribute to friend Lindsay May, one year after death

Back in June, Kim, who is also mom to North, 12, Saint, 9, and Chicago, 7, shared that Lindsay had passed away while reposting a post about a fundraiser in her memory. Just a few weeks later, Kim penned an emotional message for Lindsay on her 45th birthday, explaining how Lindsay had “waited months to post this, mainly because I couldn’t find the right words.”

“It was your birthday and I know you don’t want to make a big deal of it, but Happy Birthday, Lynds,” Kim wrote in an Instagram post in July filled with photos from a 2024 lake trip with Lindsey and her group of friends. “Nothing can accurately express how quiet and empty our living chat feels without you.”

The SKIMS founder went on to talk about how, after Lindsay’s death, he returned to the lake with other “lifers” and spent the time “feeling you everywhere.”

“The lake was your happy place. The lake made you feel lighter and healthier…you were you. It will always remain our favorite life tradition, because the lake is where we spend time with all our children and real time with each other without outside noise,” she wrote. “We’ve felt your absence this year with every sunset, every laugh, and every quiet moment.”
