‘Survivor”s Jeff Probst on why Season 49 was ‘the antithesis of loyalty’

“I’m going to shake your hand because I want to give you a real hug, but I don’t think I can do that right now,” Sage explained to Shannon. “But I look forward to hugging you in the future, okay? Take care.”
And, as Shannon shared after the episode aired, she also said that while she was surprised by Sage’s reaction, she “respected” her decision.
“I really love these people, so it was heartbreaking to feel like there was a reason why she was refusing to hug me,” the 28-year-old said. entertainment weekly “But I also respected that, because Sage was incredibly authentic from the second movie, and it was very on-brand for Sage not to hug me,” he said in an interview published on October 30.
