Why Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott don’t plan to get married two years after engagement
Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott shared a new perspective on their special property.
The longtime couple, who got engaged in 2023, welcomed Architectural Digest to their New York City apartment for a tour of their vintage-meets-modern home.
The tour begins at the front door, where guests are greeted and taken to the elevator to ascend to the living space. The first look featured floral wallpaper, moody green moldings, gold accents, and chandeliers.
“There’s nothing more important than first impressions,” the HGTV star said in an Oct. 8 video, adding, “We wanted to really welcome our guests with something interesting and exciting.”
He also put his contractor knowledge to good use and created stunning high ceilings once we moved in.
“The ceiling height here was originally less than eight feet. It was very low. It was right there,” he added. “And all of that was wasted just at the top. So we made it taller. We added a crown, a statement fixture to catch the eye. The arch is actually my favorite thing. But it’s also just teasing what you’re going to see inside.”
Once inside the actual apartment, more “magical” murals and wallpapers continue to fill the space, and the walls and ceilings are adorned with classic and artistic formations. “This place looked nothing like it does now,” the actress said.
