There are singers, and then there are idols… and then there are questions about what it’s like to be an American Idol singer.
Well, Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, and Kyra Richardson made it all the way to the Season 24 finale, so that might be a hint. The finale will air live on ABC and Disney+ on May 11th at 8pm EST.
Before the winner is revealed, fans will watch the trio’s Hometown Heroes celebration and performances from judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. They aren’t the only artists on stage either. This week’s guest mentors Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Jason Mraz, Lee Ann Womack, Mötley Crüe and Nelly are just a few of the stars set to rock the mic alongside American Idol alums Clay Aiken, Tori Kelly and Cameron Whitcomb.
Even if they don’t win, Hannah, Jordan, and Kayla are now members of a super elite club. After all, American Idol has helped propel numerous artists to stardom, including Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Fantasia Barrino, Katharine McPhee, Jordyn Sparks, Carey, and Season 23 champion Jamal Roberts.
