Mental health experts once accused Robert Pattinson of living a high life.
In fact, the Batman star recently revealed the nature of a conversation during a therapy session that once led a therapist to believe Robert was under the influence.
“I went to therapy once and the therapist asked me if I was doing drugs because she couldn’t understand what I was saying,” the actor told his drama co-star Zendaya in a joint interview with Interview Magazine, published on February 17th. “I was like, ‘I’m doing my best.’
But that wasn’t the only reason Robert felt misunderstood, as he admitted to Zendaya that his time in the spotlight on Twilight was overwhelming.
“It was really fun making the film, but there was also a big marketing push behind it,” the 39-year-old explained. “I didn’t want my personal identity to get wrapped up in it, so I tried to push my personality forward a little bit. That stuck with me.”
He added, “It was also interesting that I became famous for playing a role. At first, everyone thought I was the character.”
