Katy Perry’s “Shark on the Left” lives on.
More than a decade after the “Roar” singer’s shark backup dancers, especially the one on her left, made headlines for their dance moves during the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show, Justin Trudeau subtly referenced the moment in his Halloween costume amid his growing romance with Katie.
In a partner costume with Justin Trudeau’s 11-year-old son Hadrian Trudeau, one of his three children with ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the former Canadian prime minister wears an inflatable shark costume and holds a bitten surfboard aloft while Hadrian crouches like a surfer by his father’s side.
“Ready for Halloween with Hadrian. He’s the surfer and I’m the shark (on his left),” Justin captioned the Oct. 31 post, which also included a reference to the shark on the left. “We made the costumes together, a bit of father-son Halloween teamwork.”
And in fact, in addition to photos of Justin and Adrienne posing, the 53-year-old father of Xavier Trudeau, 17, and Ella-Grace Trudeau, 16, was also seen building a surfboard out of foam board at the dining room table while Hadrian was painting it.
