Brittany Mahomes will continue to be Patrick Mahomes’ biggest cheerleader.
Months after the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback tore both the anterior cruciate ligament in his left foot and his left knee joint during an NFL game last December, his wife spoke of her excitement to see him back on the field.
“Watching him back doing what he loves,” Brittany wrote on her Instagram Stories on July 25, alongside a reshared video of Patrick heading off to training camp. “Thank you very much.”
Patrick suffered a season-ending injury in a tense game against the Los Angeles Chargers last December and was benched for the remainder of the Chiefs’ checkered 2025-2026 season.
But just last month, the 30-year-old signed a two-year contract extension worth more than $500 million with the NFL team, according to his agency, proving he’ll be back better than ever for next football season.
“The magic continues,” Equity Sports announced in a June 10th X post. “Congratulations to @PatrickMahomes on signing the largest contract in NFL history…once again. $504.75 million. Historic. Game-changing. Record-breaking.”
After news of the historic deal broke, Patrick, who played for the Chiefs throughout his NFL career, said he couldn’t be happier to return to the team he calls home.
