Asia-Pacific markets were set to open mixed on Thursday as investors focused on the U.S. government, which appears poised to reopen over the weekend, following mixed trading on Wall Street.
Japanese benchmark Nikkei Stock Average The index is set to have a high bias, with Chicago futures trading at 51,230 and Osaka futures trading at 51,260, compared to Wednesday’s closing price of 51,063.31.
australian S&P/ASX 200 It fell by 0.18%.
hong kong futures Hang Seng Index The index opened lower trading at 26,899 as against the previous close of 26,922.73.
US stock futures fell in early Asian hours as market rotation continued. Dow Jones Industrial Average The state’s first close on Wednesday was more than 48,000.
Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (30 stocks) rose 326.86 points (0.68%) to close at 48,254.82. The index also hit a new intraday high during trading. The S&P 500 traded around the flat line, settling at 6,850.92, up 0.06%. Nasdaq Composite It fell 0.26% to end at 23,406.46.
