Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Feud

Like a tango, it takes two people to feud. Just ask Jen Affleck.

The Secret Life of Mormon Wives star admitted that one of the reasons behind his recent tension with Whitney Leavitt was their mutual desire to appear on Dancing with the Stars. In fact, Jen vented her frustration at castmate Whitney Leavitt returning to MomTok after leaving during the show’s second season, all because she wanted to appear on DWTS. As Jen said, she feels Whitney is “only here for herself and her opportunities.”

“It’s really frustrating because from the day I met her, I said I wanted to be on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ and that was literally one of my dreams. The moment she saw the opportunity, she’s like, ‘Oh, wait, I’ve always wanted that,'” Jen said of the Hulu series’ third season, which premiered on Nov. 13.

But she’s not wrong. After all, Whitney admitted in a personal confessional that the chance to appear on DWTS was a big “motivation” to stay with the group, which also includes Taylor Frankie Paul, Mikayla Matthews, Macy Neely, Demi Engeman, Jesse Gatikaula, and Layla Taylor.

But the 32-year-old also stressed that she’s there for the “sisterhood.”
