Miley said on the Call Your Daddy podcast that, frankly, she’s a logical person who tends to calmly analyze what went wrong in a situation rather than get upset about it. She admitted that that can’t necessarily be said about her based on her looks.
“I went through a very, very public, very big breakup after over 10 years of dating,” she explained. “If you’re sitting with me right now, I hope you can see that I’m more of this type of person, which is not the public perception, but I’m very logical. I’m very organized, very centered. So, I love lists. Lists keep my whole world on track.”
Postmortems of relationships are no exception.
“So, with my heart broken, I tried not to get emotional,” Miley continued. The end of a relationship can be a devastating loss, but “the best way to avoid getting emotional and focus on logic is to make a list of what you’ve gained and lost, what they’ve contributed to your life and what they’ve taken away from it, rate each of these from 1 to 10, and add them all up.”
“And if that person adds more to your life, you know what to expect from your next relationship. And you know what they subtracted that you will never accept again.”
