Manchester United have been linked with Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner following the sacking of manager Ruben Amorim.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner on Tuesday dismissed questions about Manchester United’s managerial vacancy, cryptically saying “bets are not allowed”.
The Austrian is one of the bookmakers’ favorites to replace Ruben Amorim, who was sacked on Monday after 14 months at Old Trafford.

Glasner, 51, has impressed since taking over at Palace in 2024, leading them to their first major trophy by winning the Football Association Challenge Cup (FA Cup) last season.
The Palace manager, whose contract expires at the end of the season, said last month that negotiations over a potential new deal with Selhurst Park were pending.
Speaking on the eve of a home game against legendary club Aston Villa, he avoided words when asked about the United job.
“Betting is not allowed,” he said. “There’s a line in my contract that says I’m not allowed to bet. I haven’t seen it.”
Glasner was asked whether it would be wise to back him as United’s next manager.
“Also, I can’t give out inside information because it would break my contract,” he said with a smile.
“I’m the manager of Crystal Palace. I won’t talk about other clubs because there’s no point in asking any more questions and it’s a waste of time.”
Glassner said the length of a manager’s contract has limited implications.
“I don’t think it means anything for the future if you look at the length of the contract because you can win trophies but after six months you’re no longer the manager,” he said.
“Even if you sign a new contract, you might be asked every day, ‘What happens in the future?’
“Rouben Amorim said in the press conference that he has 18 months left, but he is no longer the manager.
“When you’re a manager, there’s one thing that keeps you going: being successful.”
