Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos reveal how their children reacted to being ‘cut out’ from holiday traditions
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ children have been isolated.
It starts with participating in family Christmas cards. And ultimately, Live with Kelly and Mark’s co-hosts’ decision to exclude Michael, 28, Laura, 24, and Joaquin, 22, from the annual mailing stemmed from a simple problem.
In a joint interview with People on December 7, Mark explained that he was “tired of having to get every photo approved by my kids every year,” to which Kelly quipped: “I cut the pictures.”
And the couple’s children were not happy with the decision.
“They complained that they weren’t included in this year’s Christmas cards,” Kelly said. “They felt very disrespected and were like, ‘How can you do that?’ So I said, ‘I’m tired of waiting for photos to be approved.’
However, the 55-year-old insisted this year’s holiday cards are still “amazing” and will definitely spread some holiday cheer.
“I took a photo with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders on set, Mark in the middle, all of us in special costumes, and Mark just has a look on his face. He’s so excited and happy. It’s the happiest I’ve ever seen in a Christmas card,” she said.
