December 31, 2024: Baldoni, Wayfarer and others sues the New York Times

Baldoni, Wayfarer, Heath, Sarowitz, Nathan, Tag, Abel, RWA Communications, Wallace and Street Relations filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times on December 31st.

E! In the lawsuit obtained by the New York Times was accused of breach of the implied contract of articles about honour-defacing, false light infringement of privacy, promise fraud, and retaliatory smear campaigns.

The report was “false” and based on Lively’s CRD’s complaints, the plaintiff denied the accusation and allegation message cited in the article, and the complaints were out of context.

“Even though they allegedly reviewed these along with other documents (,) the era was almost entirely dependent on Lively’s unconfirmed, selfish, serving stories,” the lawsuit said.

They argued that “it’s lively and not plaintiffs who engaged in the calculated smear campaign.” She denied this.

The New York Times said it plans to “protect vigorously against the lawsuit.”

“The role of an independent news organization is to follow the facts they lead,” E!! “Our story was reported with great care and responsibility. It was based on reviews of thousands of pages of original documentation, including text messages and emails that were accurately and in-depthly estimates in the article.”
