The social media star will box against former unified world champion Joshua in an eight-round professional fight.

YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul will take on former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a professional bout on December 19th.
The heavyweight bout will consist of eight three-minute rounds and will take place at Caseya Center in Miami and be streamed live on Netflix.

This will be the toughest match yet for the 28-year-old Paul. Paul has a record of 12-1 (7 KOs) and last fought in June when he defeated former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by unanimous decision.
“This is not an AI simulation. This is Judgment Day,” Paul told Netflix. “A professional heavyweight battle against an elite world champion in his prime.
“When I beat Anthony Joshua, all doubts disappeared and no one can deny me the opportunity to fight for a world title. To those who hate me, this is what you wanted.”
Joshua is a two-time unified heavyweight world champion and Olympic gold medalist, but the 36-year-old hasn’t fought since losing to Daniel Dubois in an IBF title fight in September 2024.
“Jake or anyone can get this job,” Joshua said. “I won’t relent. I took some time off but I’m coming back with a mega show. This is a big opportunity for me.”
“Like it or not, I’m here to stay cool and collected, give big performances, get in big fights, and break all the records…I’m going to break the internet with my Jake Paul face.”
