Visiting top US colleges can be priced large.

The US News and World Report released Tuesday’s rankings of the best universities in the United States cost $90,730, an estimated total of $90,730 for tuition fees, totaling $90,730 for tuition fees, fees, housing, food and other expenses.

According to the school’s website, the lowest all-in price for the top 10 universities in the 2025-26 grade is $77,516, but you must be commuting with relatives. The school says students living in campus or off-campus apartments will cost $96,236 for the northwest for this grade.

The University of Chicago, just 20 miles from Northwestern, hit $98,301 for students living on campus, estimated to have the highest cost of attendance at the top 10 US news schools this year, according to the school’s website.

However, not all students pay for the full cost of attendance. In Princeton, for example, 62% of undergraduate students receive financial assistance, with the average grant for the 2025 class of $62,200.

Of the top 10 schools this year, the average amount paid to universities after grant or scholarship support during the 2022-23 academic year ranged from $17,900 at Harvard to $27,979 at the University of Chicago.
