According to an indictment reviewed by E!, an acquaintance of Kouri, identified as “CL,” told detectives a week before Kouri was arrested that he asked CL if he could get painkillers for an investor who injured his back sometime between December 2021 and February 2022. news.
About two weeks after Kouri administered hydrocodone to his flipped-over Midway, Utah, home, CL said Kouri specifically asked for fentanyl and that the investor wanted something stronger.
CL, who police noted in the warrant to have a drug history, contacted a dealer in Ogden, Utah, on February 11, 2022, and “procured between 15 and 30 fentanyl pills from the dealer.” According to the warrant, CL told detectives that Khoury received the fentanyl at CL’s home and paid him $900 in cash.
