“When hair follicles become inflamed, clogged, or malnourished, hair can become weak, fall out easily, and grow more slowly.”
What is the solution? “Gentle cleansing, targeted scalp treatments, and avoiding harsh or exfoliating formulas can help restore balance,” advises Aga.
To promote regulated oil production and buildup removal, Aga suggests using a scalp-specific shampoo that removes stubborn buildup and soothes dryness.
She also suggests adding a scalp exfoliating treatment (Aga recommends chemical exfoliants) to your hair care routine for a squeaky clean scalp without product or oil buildup. A leave-in scalp treatment is also essential to deliver nutrients that moisturize and strengthen your hair.
