“We’re best friends,” Rebecca told E! News in April, shortly after he announced his diagnosis to the world. “we’re really close. We are great co-parents. ”
It is true that this couple has a daughter, billy15, and georgia14 years old—separated in 2017 but not divorced. Rebecca says: “We really found a formula to keep our family going, and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from that, and so are we.”
Despite the romance ending, Rebecca asserted that she still considers her relationship with Eric to be very stable.
“I think it’s important not to see a relationship ending as a failure,” the 54-year-old said. “This was just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success. We were married, I mean, still married, but we were together for 15 years and had two beautiful children. I think that’s a successful relationship. That’s the way we look at it.”
