“They were like, ‘Okay, what do we do now?’ and I said, ‘Just walk out that door and don’t come back until you’re too tired to go any further,'” Kingston and Zuma said of their first taste of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Well, they can’t even imagine going down to a stream with a net, turning over stones, or riding around in a buggy. ”
But while Shelton and his wife are planning on doing some “actual, full-on professional gardening” on the farm this year, as he shared in a video from March, he’s already professed a bit of nostalgia for the days when all of his kids were, well, kids.
“It would be perfect if we could repeat the last 10 years,” he told Entertainment Tonight in April 2024, one month before Kingston’s 18th birthday. “Next month we’re going to have an 18-year-old. I’m shocked that it’s already happened. And in a few years, we’ll have another 18-year-old. And that’s… going to be a lot more time alone. I’m not mad about that either.”
“But we still have Apollo, so we have almost 10 years left before we get rid of him. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” he added.
