Cairo (AP) – Israel and Hamas today show support for both New US Plan It’s finished The War in Gaza I’ll release all the rest hostage There. President Donald Trump has said that Hamas thinks he is ready for “lasting peace” I told Israel to stop bombing Territory, but if Hamas doesn’t move right away, he warns that “all bets will be off.” The bombing has been slow In Gaza city, Israeli forces are preparing for the first stage of the plan, but the Palestinians are still being killed.

A lot of uncertainty remains around the plan as the negotiation team is expected to return to Egypt for a meeting. Tuesday marks the two years since the war began.

This is what we know.

Planning essentials

All hostility will soon end. Within 72 hours, Hamas has released all the hostages it holds, living or dead. There are still 48 hostages among the extremists. Israel believes that 20 of them are alive.

Israel, including all women and children, has been sentenced to life in prison since the start of the war, releasing 1,700 Palestinians who have been detained from Gaza, including 1,700 women and children. Israel will also hand over the bodies of 15 Palestinians for each of those hostages to be handed over.

Israeli forces retreated from Gaza after Hamas was disarmed and international security forces deployed. Territories are placed under international governance, Trump and before British Prime Minister Tony Blair I’ll oversee it.

The interim government of Palestinian technocrats will carry out daily problems. Hamas was not involved in the management of Gaza. All military infrastructure, including tunnels, will be dismantled. Members who pledge to live peacefully will be given pardon. Those who want to leave Gaza will leave the can.

Palestinians will not be exiled from Gaza. A large amount of humanitarian aid will be granted and run by “neutral international organizations” including the United Nations and the Red Crescent Moon.

What Hamas said

Hamas’ statement on Friday said he was willing to release hostages and hand over power to other Palestinians, but said other aspects of the plan require further consultations between the Palestinians. The statement does not mention Israel’s important demand, Hamas disarming.

The statement also reiterated years of openness to handing over power to the politically independent Palestinian body.

What Israel said

prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu On Friday, Israel said it was being prepared for the implementation of the “first phase” of Trump’s plan, apparently referring to the release of hostages. However, his office said in a statement that Israel had committed to ending the war based on the principles previously stated. Netanyahu has long said Hamas must surrender and disarm.

Israeli forces said on Saturday that the country’s leaders had directed them to prepare for the first phase of the US plan.

Uncertainty

The questions include timing of important steps. One Hamas official said it would take days or weeks to find the hostage body. And Hamas officials suggest that there are still major differences of opinion that require further negotiations.

It is not clear that Hamas officials can agree to the plan. One official, Osama Hamdan, told Al Arabian Television that Hamas has rejected foreign governments in the Gaza Strip and that foreign troops are “unacceptable.”

Some of the plans remain unknown. Hamas hopes Israel will leave Gaza for good, but the plan says Israel will maintain “the existence of security perimeters.”

And the future of Gaza remains a problem. The plan states that once Palestinian authority over the West Bank is fully reformed and Gaza is redeveloped, “there could ultimately be conditions for Palestinian self-determination and a reliable path to the state.”

What will happen next

An Egyptian official on Saturday said US envoy Steve Witkov would travel to Egypt to lead the US negotiation team. Delegations from Israel and Hamas will participate in ongoing consultations.

Officials also said the Arab intermediaries are preparing for a comprehensive dialogue between Palestinians aimed at unifying their positions towards the future of Gaza. On the condition of anonymity, he spoke on the condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to give the media an explanation.

What the Palestinians and Israelis say

There is cautionary hope, but there are also memories of the failed negotiations early in the war.

“We are tired and we want to end the war by any means,” the Palestinian in Gaza said on Saturday. Others said they wanted the Arab countries to pressure Hamas to end it.

A group representing hostage families in Gaza said on Saturday that the prospect of seeing their loved ones return home was “never approaching.” They urged Trump to continue pushing “with full force” and warned him that “extremists on both sides” would try to thwart the plan.
