Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet gives a passionate speech at the United Nations
Fans didn’t always see Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s daughter Violet around town. However, the 19-year-old has recently taken a big step into the public eye.
Is it the right case? Violet recently gave a passionate speech at the United Nations headquarters in New York. There they spoke about the impact of long-term Covid on children and called for clean air infrastructure.
“We are all told by our leaders that we are the future,” Yale students said at their address on September 23rd. “But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our present moment is being stolen right in front of us.”
Four months ago, Violet published an essay in the Yale Global Health Review, comparing its response to climate change – comparing its experience with the Los Angeles fire with that of the Covid-19 pandemic. And in July 2024, youth advocates attended a meeting of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, where they called for measures to stand up to the long-standing Covid, including the availability of masks, testing and treatments. Air filtration at government facilities. And opposed to the ban on masks.
“I signed up for a post-virus condition in 2019,” she shared at the time. “It’s okay now, but I saw firsthand that drugs don’t always have an answer to the outcomes of minor viruses as well. The 19 pandemic has cast it into a more sharp relief.”
