Android users can now edit photos with AI, Google announced Tuesday. Google Photos allows users to use natural language to discuss with AI and explain how to edit photos with audio or text, Google says.

This feature is designed to make it easier to edit photos without having to understand which editing tools to use or where in the app.

The Gemini-powered feature was initially available to those using the newly launched Pixel 10 devices in the US that were introduced in August.

To get started, tap Edit Edit Edit in the editor and then show you how to change your photo. If you don’t know where to start improving, you can use one of the Gemini suggestions provided, or tell the AI to “improve it.”

This feature supports normal types of editing, such as lighting adjustments and removing distractions from images, and more advanced editing, such as removing background objects and restoring old images. Plus, you can change the photos and add fantastic AI elements to give you a bit of creativity.

Continuing editing, Gemini will support follow-up requests and help you tweak your work even further.

AI Editing is currently available in the United States to users over the age of 18.
