Faye Chrisley (Aka “Nanny”) is Todd’s mom.

“I am blessed beyond the means that God has chosen to be my mother,” he wrote on Instagram for Mother’s Day 2021.

Born in September 1944, the nanny grew up in South Carolina. She married Army veteran Jean Chrisley, who welcomed sons Todd, Randy Chrisley and Derrick Chrisley. Gene also passed away in 2012.

While best known on Chrisley, Nanny captured the hearts of fans with her humor, fun times with sister Francis (who passed away in 2022), dating adventures and advice. And whether she was bumping into the casino, keeping wine or spending time with her family, she proved to her viewers that she knows how to have a good time.

However, the nanny also had a difficult time. In addition to Todd and Julie’s convictions, the nanny was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2021. But two years later, she shared that she had overcome the battle for health.

“I’m in remission, I’m grateful to God,” Nanny told people on an episode of Lindsay’s 2023 podcast, The Southern Tea. “I’ve been moving around and doing everything I can.”

Doing the best she could have was the nanny’s approach to life in general.

“The world doesn’t always give you a good deck of decks to play with, so you should play with them as much as you can,” she said she unlocked on the Savannah podcast. “Get up, brush yourself off and continue.”
