“It’s a huge honor,” wrote Ashley, the outstanding supporter of the limited series, in a statement. “This appointment means the world to me, not as an awareness, but as a reminder of how far I have come. It is for all those who stood by me through highs and lows that I believed in me when I needed it the most.”
Certainly, Ashley couldn’t believe how far he could come to this honor.
“It’s a testament to the power of patience,” he continued. “Dreams are important, but it’s tough work, setbacks, growth and the consistency that makes them a reality. Five years ago, this felt out of reach. Today, I’m incredibly proud.
“Thank you to Emmy for this nomination,” Ashley added. “Thank you to my wife and children for rooting me and giving me a purpose. I’m grateful to my family, friends, my foundation.
