Feel Festival’s Billy McFarland applauds after city officials say they don’t have permission to do a new concert
Fyre Festival is finally offering a musical promise.
The fateful Bahamas Music Festival, hosted by Billy McFarland and JA Rule, is on stage in the form of a new musical called Fyre Fest The Musical, with Rita Ora and Teika Waitty as producers of the project.
Brian Buckley, who directed around 65 Super Bowl commercials, is both a director and writer of musicals, and frequently writes the production music by Adele collaborator Paul Epworth.
“I’ve never seen myself doing a theatrical music comedy,” Buckley said in a statement people got. “But again, I have never seen anything completely bent, fascinating or intriguing, as it has been an epic failed effort, an epic failed effort that has plagued generations forever.”
“I can’t wait to bring this show to the world,” the two-time Academy Award nominee added. “And yeah, this time it’s going to actually bring back the music and your money.”
