Shanell Jones says her heart has been “shattered” after the death of her husband, Uche Ogier.

Schoenell Jones looks back at her unimaginable loss.

Today Cohost shared how her children Kayin (16) and 13-year-old twins Clara and Uche navigate their grief after the death of their husband, Uche Ojeh.

“That’s what makes this difficult,” Chenelle told Savannah Guthrie in an interview today, September 5th. “If you can just stay in bed and leave the door closed, you may be able to answer the phone and sit down.

She said, “But I can’t do that, because there are three little beings looking at me.”

For Schaenell, experiencing her own process helped her to gain a different perspective for her young children.

“Sadness is like a wave, and what I told my kids is like the rain can’t last forever,” she added. “So when it rains, in a way I learned to look up at the rain and clean the rain and clean the air. And I don’t run away from the crying anymore. As for sadness, ‘Here’s my cleaning rainfall’ And it’s not afraid of it anymore.
