Yann Diomande is reportedly set to join the world’s richest football club after his impressive performance at the FIFA World Cup.

La Liga giants Real Madrid have agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig winger Yann Diomande, the BBC reported on Monday, after Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool withdrew their interest.
Diomande, who plays on the right, was a standout player for Ivory Coast at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making his debut in the tournament as the West African squad progressed to the last 32.

The 19-year-old has taken Europe by storm since joining the German club from Spanish side Leganes a year ago. The 1.8-meter (5-foot-11-inch) attacking winger is known for his excellent speed, powerful dribbling, and athleticism, and is a frequent goal threat.
Diomande scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in the league, helping Leipzig to third place in the highly successful 2025/26 Bundesliga and seal their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League. He was also named the Bundesliga’s best young player of the season.
Both Premier League sides Liverpool and reigning French champions PSG had their bids rejected, with the final offer the Parisian club made for Diomand on Sunday estimated at 102.5 million pounds (about $136.75 million), the BBC reported.
“Madrid then agreed personal terms, which are said to be modeled on England midfielder Jude Bellingham’s contract in that they incentivize performance and effectively improve year-on-year improvements,” the article added.
