Next week, several large tech stocks known as the “Magnificent Seven” are scheduled to announce their financial results, and among them, the announcement of the results of the major cloud services companies is gaining momentum. The peak of earnings season is just around the corner, with more than 150 S&P 500 companies scheduled to release their financial results next week. More than half of the Magnificent Seven will take center stage on Wednesday and Thursday, when Apple, Microsoft, Metaplatform and Amazon report their earnings. CNBC Pro scoured FactSet data to find which S&P 500 companies reporting earnings next week have seen earnings momentum accelerate recently. The stocks in the table below match the following criteria: Analysts have raised their earnings estimates by at least 10% in the past three and six months. At least 55% of analysts have a Buy or Overweight rating. The average increase over the target price is more than 20%. Amazon is at the top of the table and is scheduled to report earnings on Thursday. Investors have high expectations, revising earnings estimates by more than 400% in the past 90 days. Trust Securities reiterated its buy rating and price target on Monday. “We believe AWS remains the focus area for investors, and the strength of both core and AI-related workflows should accelerate year-over-year growth for the fifth consecutive quarter,” analyst Youssef Squali said. The target price for Trust Securities is $320, representing a 38% increase from Friday’s closing price. Stock prices have risen slightly since the beginning of the year. Another company on the list is IQVIA Holdings. Healthcare information technology stocks are down nearly 8% this year, but 80% of analysts who follow the stock rate it a buy or overweight. IQVIA is scheduled to report on Tuesday. Deutsche Bank analyst Justin Bowers wrote in a July 9 note that the stock is underperforming due to “misplaced concerns” about the company’s business mix and the threat of artificial intelligence and machine learning. “Recent industry checks and favorable macro trends, such as stronger biotech financing and increased biopharmaceutical M&A, provide evidence of a cyclical recovery in end-market demand,” the analyst said. “We believe this backdrop, the company’s leadership position in (real-world evidence) and AI/ML, and negative sentiment increase the likelihood of a positive surprise.” Deutsche Bank has a $240 price target, implying a 15% upside over the next 12 months. Analysts have high expectations for Vertiv Holdings, increasing their earnings per share estimates by 393% in the last three months. The data center infrastructure company, which specializes in power and cooling, is scheduled to report on Wednesday. Baird initiated coverage in a July 15 note with an outperform rating and a $370 price target, implying a 27% upside from Friday’s closing price. The stock price will rise almost 80% in 2026. “We like Vertiv as a pure data center business, and its underlying NVIDIA integration supports strong visibility into innovation,” said analyst Luke Junk. Nvidia and Vertiv have collaborated on several AI infrastructure projects. “The company’s $24 billion capital allocation bazooka is also compelling, and growing VRT dollars per MW and building out more services are both attractive uses of capital,” the analyst added. Other stocks on CNBC Pro’s list include Generac Holdings, CBRE Group, and Cigna.
