Jim Cramer’s CNBC Investment Club hosts a “Morning Meeting” livestream every weekday at 10:20 a.m. ET. A recap of Monday’s key moments. 1. Wall Street was mixed on Monday as semiconductor stocks rebounded from last week’s plunge and oil prices fell after Iranian authorities signaled a push for diplomacy despite continued U.S. attacks. Chinese startup Moonshot AI raises fresh concerns about the AI race, but Jim Cramer said the recent downturn reflects broader dynamics in which investors raise capital, rather than a fundamental change in the AI story. “It doesn’t matter what you think. It matters what they think,” he said. “They’re thinking, ‘I have to get out. I need money,’ and that’s a distraction.” He added that even investors who remain bullish on the long-term outlook should expect continued volatility. “You can own those stocks, but you have to expect that the stock price could fall at some point during the day.” 2. The club that owns Intel will report earnings after the close on Thursday, and investors will be watching for updates on the company’s central processing unit (CPU) business, third-party foundry business, and advanced packaging efforts. Jim said he expects Intel to have a “great” quarter, but cautioned that in the current market, a strong performance does not guarantee a positive stock price reaction. Portfolio director Jeff Marks pointed to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s recent weak performance as an example of investors selling semiconductor stocks despite strong fundamentals. “I don’t think that’s a particular expectation” for Inter, Jim said. 3. Shares of Boeing, the club’s name, fell more than 2% after CEO Kelly Ortberg said in a CNBC interview that the company remains focused on strengthening its balance sheet before launching new aircraft. “I would argue that’s the right thing to do,” Jeff said. Jim said this message reinforces management’s priority to improve execution and increase production with the current lineup, rather than rushing to introduce another aircraft. He added that despite short-term headwinds from the Middle East conflict, the aerospace industry remains in “good shape” in the long term. He blamed the war for the current situation not being “great,” but said, “I think the war will end.” 4. Stocks featured at the end of Monday’s video were Yeti, SpaceX, Domino’s Pizza, and Charles Schwab. (Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust is long BA, INTC. See here for a complete list of stocks.) As a subscriber to Jim Cramer’s CNBC Investing Club, you will receive trade alerts before Jim Cramer makes a trade. After Jim sends a trade alert, he waits 45 minutes before buying or selling stocks in his charitable trust’s portfolio. If Jim talks about a stock on CNBC TV, he will issue a trade alert and then wait 72 hours before executing the trade.
