Lena Dunham says Adam Driver threw a chair and yelled at her while filming ‘Girls’
Adam Driver is addressing Lena Dunham’s bombshell about him.
Adam has revealed her cheeky response after the Girls creator and actress claimed in her memoir Famesick that Adam had “sometimes wild” outbursts while filming the show.
“I have no comment on that,” Adam said at the Cannes press conference for his film Paper Tiger, according to Variety. “I’ll save it all for the book.”
His comments drew laughter from the audience, but Lena said that Adam’s alleged “half-man, half-beast” behavior was no laughing matter, and detailed a specific example of when he was practicing his lines, according to the newspaper.
“Adam yelled ‘Fuck you, King, say something’ and threw a chair against the wall next to me,” Lena, who was suffering from dissociation as part of undiagnosed endometriosis at the time, wrote on Famesic. “‘Wake up, wake up,’ he told me. ‘I’m tired of just staring.’
She also remembers the intimate scenes between the two, who played the main character and her lover, Hannah Horvath and Adam Sackler.
