In the opening scene of episode 2, “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy,” we see how Nate (Jacob Elordi) has become extremely angry and toxically masculine. Apparently he was so scared of seeing other people’s penises in the locker room that he taught himself to stare straight ahead. So the cue shot of Jacob Elordi fully clothed and perfectly still while a hundred naked boys cheer and scream around him. Apparently, there was originally more penis in this scene, but HBO requested that some of it be removed.
“For me, that was interesting because that scene was actually very realistic and the expression on my face and the way I felt was very realistic,” Elordi told THR. “The energy in the room with all those big guys jumping up and down and screaming and slapping — nudity aside — I’m not like Nate, but it was so intense. I didn’t expect the locker room to be that intense, but it was actually pretty hilarious. I don’t care, it’s funny reading the reviews now. Everyone’s like, ‘There’s so much dick.'” But when you’re there, it’s just hilarious. I think it’s an interesting scene and I’ll never forget it. ”
