The Survivor 50 tribe had three historic conversations in one night.
No, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke. Even though the episode aired on April 1st, Jeff Probst wasn’t kidding when he told the newly merged tribe of 17 that three people would be torched that night.
“Ancient civilizations feared blood moons,” Jeff told the players. “They saw it as a warning. A sign of cataclysm, even impending death. And you should see it that way, too, because tonight Survivor has its own version of a blood moon. And just like nature, it’s going to cast a shadow over the entire game of Survivor. And it’s never going to be the same again.”
When the tribe arrives for the challenge (minus players Rizzo Velovich and Ozzie Russ, after the latter finds Twisted in the woods and sends him and his chosen players to Exile Island), Jeff tells the remaining 15 players that they will be randomly divided into three groups to compete. Winners in each group of five will receive individual immunity. Additionally, the player who survives the longest overall wins the group feast.
