Chuck Norris walks away.
Walker, the Texas Ranger star and fighter, died on March 19 at the age of 86, his family confirmed in a statement.
Chuck’s family said they would keep the circumstances of their patriarch’s “sudden death” private, but wrote in a statement on Instagram: “Please know that he was peacefully surrounded by his family.”
“To the world, he was a martial artist, an actor, and a symbol of strength,” the statement continued, along with a black-and-white photo of Chuck. “To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a wonderful brother, and the heart of our family.”
Chuck’s loved ones called out his faith, purpose and “unwavering dedication to those he loves,” adding that his work leaves a legacy that will inspire “many lives,” including performances in “Delta Force” and “Way of the Dragon.”
In a statement, Chuck’s family said they were still “deeply saddened” but expressed gratitude for all the life he lived and the fans who were with him along the way.
